As mentioned, our DraftKings, and FanDuel strategy includes looking at the Rank Variance of each phase of the game for that offense and defense.
This week’s NFL opening day matchup shows that the following:
Detroit Offense vs. Kansas City Defense: the advantage that the Lions have is a 17 point rank advantage in the receiving game, which translates to an 8 point rank advantage in the passing game. Now, you have to look at the draft class for the Chiefs as their draft class for 2023 and players coming in include several defensive players.
The Kansas City Chiefs Offense Vs. the Detroit Lions Defense: The Chiefs have a lot of advantage areas vs the Lions defense. In the Pass phase of the game, they have an 11 point Rank Variance advantage, a 10 point in the Run game, a 29 point in the Receiving phase of the game.

Game Predictions: Gain an edge with our reliable predictions on player performances, scores, and potential game-changers.
Vegas odds have this game at a total points of 54 and our data model predicts a 50 point game.
We expect this game to be a shootout – even though the Chiefs have drafted defensive players, it’ll still be a shootout.
Fantasy Football Points Predictions: We provide valuable predictions for players in Point-Per-Reception (PPR) leagues, helping you strategize and optimize your fantasy football lineups based on their expected receptions.
Our daily fantasy football model shows a high scoring game with both QB’s scoring a high FFP. For Mr. Mahomes we predict 21 fantasy football points (FFP) and that does not include this typical run yardage (14.63% usage in the run game). For Mr. Goff, we show a whopping 33 FPP, but remember this shows the old Chiefs Defense and a 6% run usage %.
Travis will be his typical menace to a defense, look out for Detroit’s new TE, Sam LaPorta to have a decent outing as he is ultimately replacing TJ Hockerson.
Rashee Rice the Chief’s rookie WR should have a decent outing and we predict a 17.50% usage or better as he is replacing Juju Smith Shuster.
Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery should have great usage as they are replacing Jamaal Williams who had a 54.4% usage percentage in the run game and 3.16% in the receiving game and D’Andre Swift who had a 20.63% usage in the Run game and 12.63% in the receiving game.
Self-Proclaimed Expert Game Analysis: Our team of experts dissects player performances and team dynamics for strategic gameplay.
We will try our best and not be your typical Monday Morning QB, so we will put our predictions and game expectations right here for all to see and for us to refer back to once the game is over.
Now, the opening game of the season is tricky, there are players coming in, you have to account for those that either retired or left for another team and then of course are the rookies. Some of these rookies will replace players that have left and will make an impact right away, but then there are others that will be backups and will need further development equating to one or two or maybe a low usage percentage of less than 5%.
Even though the Chiefs have made great stride in drafting and signing up defensive players, we still are predicting a shootout – Mr. Mahomes and Mr. Goff are competitors, talented and play to win.
The running game is predicted to be minimal. Our stats (remember we use the average method) predictions show that the Chiefs can get 118 run yards and the Lions just 87 run yards.
The receiving game phase predictions show a whopping 300+ yards for the Lions and 236+ for the Chiefs – we know, we know – how is that possible. Look at the rank variance and see for yourself.
Scoring, you saw the Vegas odds, the Chiefs are favorites, but it’ll be a close one – Total 4 TD’s for the Lions -1 in the run game and 3 for the Chiefs. Game score predictions – Lions 52.25 – Chiefs 32.0
Good Luck on your Daily Fantasy Football contest and remember no matter if you play on DraftKings or FanDuel or any other Daily Fantasy Football platform, we have stats, analysis and predictions that are specific to DFS.
SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL STATS, ANALYSIS & PREDICTIONS
This week’s Sunday Night Football matchup features a classic NFC East matchup between my New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys (our nemesis and kryptonite the last couple of seasons)
Here is a comprehensive summary of our DFS stats, expert analysis, and accurate predictions for this highly anticipated NFL matchup:
New York Giants: The outlook for my G-Men aka Big Blue is to finish 3rd in the NFC East, but I think they’ll make a run for the NFC East banner beginning with this game. Danny Dimes is a mobile QB, determined to win and now has Darren Waller and now with the Saquon drama behind the G-Men, the Giants will be very competitive. Yeah, yeah, they have to get past the Sheagles.
New York Giants New Players this season and players they are possibly meant to replace.
Incoming Players | Position | Replaces Player (Departures) | Position |
Jalin Hyatt (Draft) | WR | Kenny Golladay | WR |
Eric Gray (Draft) | RB | ||
Jamison Crowder | WR | Richie James | WR |
Tommy Sweeney | TE | ||
Parris Campbell | WR | ||
Darren Waller | TE |
Dallas Cowboys:
Dallas Cowboys New Players this season and players they are possibly meant to replace.
Incoming Player | Position | Replaces Player (Departures) | Position |
Luke Schoonmaker (Draft) | TE | Dalton Schultz | TE |
Deuce Vaughn (Draft) | RB | Ezekiel Elliott | RB |
Jalen Brooks | WR | T.Y. Hilton | WR |
Noah Brown | WR | ||
James Washington | WR |
I have to start this preview and predictions of the Cowboys with this story. Back in 2011, the Giants made the playoffs via Wild Card and I was headed to Dallas on business – to arrive on Monday and then realized the Giants were visiting, of course I made plans to go to the game. Bought a single game ticket and it was an amazing win, yes this is the game Jerry Jones purchased the game tickets for the following game as he was sure the Cowboys would win and yes, this is the year the Giants won it all and the “Helmet Catch” infamous play.
Of course America’s team is predicted to finish 2nd in the NFC East and of course with Dax at the helm and the RB situation figured out – (Tony Pollard was always better – need an explanation here as to why they stuck with Ezekiel) and their core WR’s starting with CeeDee – they’ll be force to be reckoned with.
NFL Matchup: A detailed breakdown of the key stats and factors that will influence the game’s outcome including Rank & Yardage Variance,
As mentioned, our DraftKings, and FanDuel strategy includes looking at the Rank Variance of each phase of the game for that offense and defense.
This week’s NFL Sunday Night Football matchup shows that the following:
New York Giants Offense vs. Dallas Cowboys Defense: The Rank Variance report shows that the Giants have a 4 point advantage in the passing phase of the game and a whopping 18 point advantage in the run phase of the game. A high 17 point disadvantage in the receiving game, so Saquon and Danny Dimes better get their legs going and remember Danny Dimes ran over 100 yards against the Jaguars last year and had another game with over 65 and 70 run yards. Saquon, Double Duty Usage % is through the roof with a whopping 56.73% usage in the run game and 16.57% in the receiving game – BOOOOOM.
The Dallas Cowboys Offense Vs. the New York Giants Defense: The Cowboys Offense doesn’t show an advantage in the passing game or run game versus the Cowboys defense, but an 8 point advantage in the receiving game. We recall this from last year’s Giants D a.k.a “Toast”. While there’s a small advantage in the Run game for the Cowboys – Tony coming out of the backfield as a receiver is very dangerous. Look at our Double Duty report – this is our player usage or distribution report – and you will see that Tony has a 36% usage in the run game and a good usage in the receiving game, 10.99%. That equals FFP up the wazoo.
The rank variances in the Pass and Receiving phase of the game is why we think this game will be a high scoring game.
Vegas odds have this game at a total points of 46.5 total points and our data model predicts a 30 point game with the Cowboys winning 18-12.
DFS Stats: Precise statistics to help you make informed decisions when building your Daily Fantasy Football lineup.

Game Predictions: Gain an edge with our reliable predictions on player performances, scores,
Vegas odds have this game at a total points of 46.5 total points and our data model predicts a 30 point game with the Cowboys winning 18-12.
We expect this game to be a typical NFC East game like the old time when The Tuna (Bill Parcells) and Jimmy Johnson were coaching.
Fantasy Football Points Predictions: We provide valuable predictions for players in Point-Per-Reception (PPR) leagues, helping you strategize and optimize your fantasy football lineups based on their expected receptions.
Our daily fantasy football model shows a moderate scoring game with both QB’s scoring just averaging 18 FFP.
Predictions show a high FFP’s for CeDee Lamb, so he would be a good Captain and 20 Points for Saquon with half of those coming from the receiving game.

The running game is predicted to be over 100 yards for each team – typical NFC East game and just over 200 yards in the passing game for each team.
Scoring, you saw the Vegas odds, and we agree this will be a typical ground and pound NFC East game.
Good Luck on your Daily Fantasy Football contest and remember no matter if you play on DraftKings or FanDuel or any other Daily Fantasy Football platform, we have stats, analysis and predictions that are specific to DFS.
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL STATS, ANALYSIS & PREDICTIONS
This week’s Monday Night Football matchup features a classic AFC East matchup between my New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills. It’s about a future HOF and a near future HOF.
Here is a comprehensive summary of our DFS stats, expert analysis, and accurate predictions for this highly anticipated NFL matchup:
New York Jets: So the J.E.T.S must have a connection with the Green Bay Packers as this is their 2nd HOF they sign from the Packers, now these guys are almost at their end of use, but it has made them competitive and increased ticket sales. First, Brett Farvre (39 years old when he played for the Jets for 1 season) and now, Aaron Rodgers (ahh same age 39 as of today).
New York Jets New Players this season and players they are possibly meant to replace.
Incoming Players | Position | Replaces Player (Departures) | Position |
Israel Abanikanda (Draft) | RB | Ty Johnson | RB |

NFL Matchup: A detailed breakdown of the key stats and factors that will influence the game’s outcome including Rank & Yardage Variance,
As mentioned, our DraftKings, and FanDuel strategy includes looking at the Rank Variance of each phase of the game for that offense and defense.
This week’s NFL Monday Night Football matchup shows that the following:
New York Jets Offense vs. Buffalo Bills Defense: The J.E.T.S don’t have too much of an advantage over the Bills defense, but that’s on paper and there’s a new QB, WR’s and more with the 2023 Jets.
We predict a competitive game and while Vegas has it a close game, we predict an instant classic. These two QB’s are fighters, they want to win and will sacrifice their bodies for that win and also – they are freaking “supa” football smart.
The Buffalo Bills Offense Vs. the New York Jets Defense: On paper, the Bills have a great advantage in the Pass, Run and receiving game, but it’s a new year. The Bills coaching staff run a tight ship, they drafted well and attracted players that will contribute immensely to the game.
We’re predicting this game to be an instant classic because of the players, not the stats – “come on man” Aaron Rodgers vs. Josh Allen, NY vs Upstate NY, Diggs, Lazard, Cook, Knowx, and Rookies such as Israel Abanikanda born in Brooklyn and Justin Shorter – “a special teams ace”. Mark my Monday Morning QB words, this will be an instant classic.
Vegas odds have this game at a total points of 47 with the Bills favorites by 1.5.

When we say by prize, we mean the Captain's mode prize games, including Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football.
You will then find the schedule for the BIG PRIZE, these are the Sunday morning (10am) and afternoon games (1pm) - well in Pacific Standard Time. There are typically 11-13 games - yeah that's alot of data to analyze, hence the importance of a good strategy and planning ahead.
NFL Flex Schedule
It's important to keep track of the NFL Flex Schedule as part of your DFS Fantasy Football Strategy. Below you will find the NFL Flex Rules for the NFL 2023 Season.
NFL 2023 Flex Schedule Procedures
2023 Flexible Scheduling Procedures and Scheduling for Week 18
Allows teams to play their way onto primetime
In 2006, the NFL implemented a "flexible scheduling" procedure for Sunday Night Football. Flexible scheduling ensured quality matchups on Sunday night in all weeks and gave surprise teams a chance to play their way onto primetime. For the 2023 season, flexible scheduling will be expanded to include Monday Night Football, as well as Thursday Night Football on a trial basis.
Please note that the NFL is continuously reviewing its scheduling procedures to ensure exciting and meaningful games are available for viewing by the largest number of fans and so further changes to flexible scheduling could be implemented in the future.
Current Flexible Scheduling Procedures
Flexible scheduling is in effect during the following windows (the "Flex Scheduling Windows"):
- For Sunday Night Football, it may be used up to twice between Weeks 5-10, and at the NFL's discretion during Weeks 11-17;
- For Monday Night Football it may be used at the NFL's discretion in Weeks 12-17;
- For Thursday Night Football it may be used up to twice between Weeks 13-17.
- During the Flex Scheduling Windows, the games initially scheduled for Sunday Night Football (on NBC), Monday Night Football (ESPN or ABC), and Thursday Night Football (on Amazon Prime) are tentatively scheduled and subject to change;
- Only Sunday afternoon games (or those listed as TBD) are eligible to be moved to Sunday night, Monday night, or Thursday night, in which case the initially scheduled Sunday, Monday, or Thursday night game would be moved to Sunday afternoon;
- Sunday afternoon games may also be moved between 1:00 p.m. and 4:05 p.m. or 4:25 p.m. ET.
Scheduling for Week 18
As in prior seasons, for Week 18, the final weekend of the season, the scheduling of the Saturday, Sunday afternoon, and the Sunday night games is not assigned. The schedule for Week 18 will be announced no later than six days prior to that week's Saturday game (January 6, 2024).
Additional Flexible Scheduling Information
- During the Flex Scheduling Windows, only Sunday afternoon or TBD games are subject to being moved into the Sunday night, Monday, or Thursday night window.
- The game that has been tentatively scheduled for Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, or Thursday Night Football during the Flex Scheduling Windows will generally be listed at 8:20 p.m. ET, 8:15 p.m. ET, and 8:15 p.m. ET, respectively.
- The majority of games on Sundays will typically be listed at 1:00 p.m. ET during the Flex Scheduling Windows except for games played in Pacific or Mountain time zones, which will be listed at 4:05 or 4:25 p.m. ET.
- For Sunday Night Football in Weeks 5-13 and for Monday Night Football in Weeks 12-17, the NFL will decide (after consultation with CBS, FOX, NBC, and ESPN) and announce no later than 12 days in advance of the game, which game will be played on Sunday night and which game will be played on Monday night.
- For Sunday Night Football in Weeks 14-17, the flexible scheduling decision will generally be made no later than 6 days prior to the game.
- For Thursday Night Football in Weeks 13-17, the flexible scheduling decision will be made no later than 28 days prior to the game.
- Fans and ticket holders must be aware that NFL games in the Flex Scheduling Windows are subject to change generally at least 12 days in advance (and at least 6 days in advance for Sundays in Weeks 14-17) and should plan accordingly.
