Tips, advice and how to draft the best possible players to maximize your chances for Draft Kings, FanDuel or any other Daily Fantasy Football platform.

Know the Rules

This is key, well everything is in Daily Fantasy Football (DFS), but knowing where you can gain the most points, what games are included and what type of fantasy league you’re in is important.  Our stats cater to daily fantasy football fans that play in platforms such as DraftKings, FanDuel and Yahoo Sports.  Our stats show the FFP value based on the points awarded by DraftKings and FanDuel – Yahoo Sports does not publish theres.  If you find them let us know.

DraftKings and FanDuel have several daily fantasy football games you can enter.  For example, DraftKings has a game for $10 with a $200k prize for the first place winner, but it’s only between the Eagles and Falcons.  When you enter you select a Captain that can win 1.5x points, but that captain cost is higher, so know your players.

The Sunday prize games are from the 1st game on Sunday to last game in the afternoon and does not include the Sunday Night Football game.  So know your games.

Below is a link to the DraftKings and FanDuel rules.

Check the Rank Variance - Start Here

Look at Ranking differences utilizing our Ranking Report and the higher the difference, the better.  For example, Number 1 Ranked team overall may have the number 2 receiving offense and they are playing the 28th pass defense.  You want to select your receivers from this team, but their Run offense may be ranked 10th and the Run defense for the opposing team may be ranked 12th and that’s only a 2 point rank difference so no RB’s from this Offense.

Know the Player Usage

This is key.  If a player gets a high number of touches in receptions or run attempts, but very low on the scoring attempts, so what will you do?  You will need to decide if you want to select the player with the higher attempts or the higher % of scoring attempts, no easy task.

Analyze the Matchup

You then Analyze the matchup and from here you will see what the averages for the offense in each phase of game and for that defense as well.  You will see that an offense averages a total of 300 yards, but when you break it down, 225 come from the pass game and only 75 from the run game, but the defense gives up 275 receiving yards so this offense has the possibility of getting up to 275 yards, but the run defense is stingy, so no RB’s from this offense.  Here you will also be able to look at the Defense norms for each team.

Analyze the Team

The last step we take in selecting our fantasy football player is to analyze the team trends and norms to verify your decision.

Make Sure You Have Time

Daily Fantasy Football is a weekly happening and you need to spend plenty of time researching and analyzing the data to draft the best possible team to win big.  You need to begin Monday morning to prepare for the Thursday Night Football game and Tuesday morning to prepare for the games on Sunday and then you will need to wake up early enough on Sunday to take into consideration the Injury Report.  If that’s not enough start all over the next day.  And don’t forget that while you’re enjoying the Sunday morning football games, you need to review your draft and make any changes for players on your draft as they may be out due to injury or something else.  Daily Fantasy Football repeats for 20 weeks.

Know the Injury Report

Need we say more.  Wake up Sunday morning and look at the injury report.  Watch the early Sunday football games and see if you need to adjust your draft picks for the afternoon games.

Understanding our Daily Fantasy Football Strategy, Reports and Excel Spreadsheets

Variance Report Detailed-Start Here

Daily Fantasy Football Draft Strategy – FanDuel and DraftKings

We highly you recommend you start your daily fantasy football analysis with this report.  This report may seem complicated but it is easy as all you have to do is identify the highest – (NEGATIVE) variance from the offense vs defense in each phase of the game.

In the SELECT QB column, that where you would select the QB from and the same goes for the RB and WR/TE’s

What you are looking for is the highest – (NEGATIVE variance).

In this scenario the QB is either from the Rams or Steelers.

The RB’s from either Jaguars of Chiefs

The WR’s or TE’s from Rams, Bucs or Steelers.

The scoring column gives you a bit more data to select your RB’s or Receivers from. In this case we know that in 2017 the Giants D was horrible giving up 388 points for the season ranked 27th in Scoring D.

Don’t worry i’m still a Fan, BIG BLUE for life.

Don’t forget you will be able to download this report to use in Excel or Google Sheets.
